Mark Lague - Workshops

In this 3 day workshop you will learn to incorporate people into your paintings. Using candid photos of people in their natural environment, we will explore the compositional possibilities of people in groups or individually.

We will also focus on gesture drawing, and how to simplify the human form. Once you are able to see people as a series of shapes and values, you will realize that painting people is no more difficult than painting a tree or a flower. It's really all about painting what you see and not what you know (or what you think you know), that will lead to much stronger paintings.
